Information and Security Statement Summary
We understand the need to protect the privacy of all our users through strict security controls. Our product was built with security in mind and the controls we have include authentication, firewalls, secure coding, scanning and security testing as well as comprehensive logging, monitoring and alerting controls.
Additionally, the team behind ClassHive has, via Wingaru Education (our majority shareholder), over 10 years of experience in delivering digital products to the Australia education sector and various government bodies, and maintains an ongoing relationship with schools and Education Departments in all Australian states and territories.
Compliance with Australian Privacy Laws
We comply fully with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act) and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) that regulates how our business collects, secures, uses and discloses the information we have on our users.

We only retain personal information for as long as is needed, in all cases when a user leaves a school or a school discontinues use of our resources we remove them from the system.

ClassHive is an Australian owned and operated business.
ClassHive is hosted in Australian owned and operated data centres. The hosting provider is also wholly Australian owned. All data centres are ISO 27001 certified secure facilities.
Our business is subject to and acts in compliance with all applicable Australian laws and regulations (including Privacy laws, as stated earlier).
Data Classification, Labeling and Handling
All communication, and information provided to ClassHive automatically gets flagged as sensitive information by default. The only exceptions would be for public statements like testimonials, in which case the school will be contacted to lower the classification label on the email or statement.
All access to sensitive data is on a need-to-know basis. If access has been granted, sensitive data which can be transferred automatically for example via integration software program, direct system links or applications, are labeled so that the users of the information understand the sensitivity and do not accidently compromise the confidentiality of this information.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
We have a strict policy of not sharing any personal data with third parties. There is no tracking software running on the platforms known as ClassHives Kids and the related Teacher Centre which this information is provided for.
It should be noted that our website does use analytics software such as Google Analytics - but this is separate and isolated to our platforms and services.
